Discussion includes the morphing of Senate Intelligence Committee over the past decade from an “oversight” into an “overlook” committee.

A Dick Cheney man, Sen. Pat Roberts, a Republican (Kansas) now running for re-election, was key to Cheney-Bush successful attempt to politicize the “intelligence” conjured up to “justify” the attack on Iraq. Roberts (Senate Intelligence Committee Chair from 2003 to 2007) then succeeded in covering up the FRAUDULENT (not mistaken) nature of the pre-Iraq-war “intelligence” for the next several years. The cat is now out of the bag, but it is still anybody’s guess as to whether the media in Kansas decides to let ordinary Kansans in on Roberts’s role in the corruption of intelligence, when he should have been looking out for their agricultural and other basic equities and interests.

The second runs from 6:50 to 7:10; Ray notes that Germany’s intelligence service (its CIA equivalent) delighted Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and then-CIA Director George Tenet by passing along spurious information from its source – we know him as “Curveball”) – on (non-existent) mobile biological weapons laboratories in Iraq. This was just the kind of “intelligence” Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Tenet were lusting after, and it was the centerpiece of Colin Powell’s deceptive speech at UN on Feb. 5, 2003 “justifying” war on Iraq.
