Ray Interviewed by RT on Snowden’s Asylum Appeal to Russia

The ball is now in Russia’s court. One lingering question: Did the Russians mousetrap the U.S. into believing that, by leaning unceremoniously on European countries to force down Bolivian President Evo Morales’s plane on July 2, Edward Snowden could be plucked from the rest room? Just a hunch … but how much more egg-on-face can Washington accumulate?

Ray on Aljazeera July 11, after the Guardian/Snowden disclosures re Microsoft (and Skype, etc.) giving NSA and FBI access to most of our stuff

( 3 minutes)

Microsoft, which makes the operating system used on 92 percent of the computers in the world, is shown helping the NSA “CIRCUMVENT MICROSOFT’S OWN ENCRYPTION.”

Ray parses Microsoft’s rejoinder that it “does not provide any government with blanket or direct access to Sky Drive, Outlook.com, Skype or any Microsoft product.” Lawyers’ word games afoot here. Sadly for Microsoft and the NSA, the loyal-legal-beagle obfuscation has become radiantly transparent now that information in the various official documents has been made available.

“But why would they (Microsoft) do this?” Ray is asked. Simple: $$$$$$$$$$$$.
